New Year, New Goals, New Phone!

Hello everyone! It's already nearly a month into the new year, how are you all doing? I've been super excited lately because after about 4 or 5 years I've finally upgraded from my Blackberry. Behold my lovely iPhone 5!!

I felt that the Blackberry was a very good phone for it's time and it had served me well. It fit into my pockets and purse, wasn't heavy, and I liked the fact that it had a keyboard. (I liked physically pressing the buttons). However; it's screen was relatively small, and over the years wasn't exactly the fastest. Having and Imac and using other Apple products, the iPhone didn't take me much to getting used to. I love the camera quality and I have yet to use the facetime options. :) I also like the fact that the phone will update words into it's vocabulary after seeing me use it a couple of times (especially if I use Polish or Japanese words, pet names, or just names that it wouldn't normally recognize.) Now I just need to find a case for it.

Several awesome dates are coming up! Well, one has already passed. SKO (Sales Kick Off), was a huge event held at David's company and the past two months have been very hectic as he and his department have been planning for it. Right before my husband caught a cold so he had to push through, but he did so with success. His CEO was very proud of him and so am I! I love my husbor! <3

Another big day is that my Sera Myu Group will be celebrating it's first year anniversary in a week! One year today my friend April asked if I was interested in starting a dance/cosplay group and we sure have grown and expanded. It has been interesting learning about running a large group and conducting practices and rehearsals as well as costumes props etc....; however it has diffinetly been a growing experience! I've met so many wonderful people who are so important to my life. Speaking of important to my life, David's 25th birthday is on the Super Bowl this year! (February 3rd). I hope to get off from work to celebrate with him!!

(My friends Kim, April, Matt and I posing as Sailor Venus, Super Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Kamen and Sailor Neptune respectfully.)

On another note, anyone still working on their resolutions? I have several this year! One is dealing with my body issues and making myself a better, healthier person. (The holidays were good to me, but not on my waistline!) I've started exercising more and going into strength training. I don't care what anyone says. I've started using the shake weight and it really works! My arms feel toner and stronger and it's only been a week! I'm also am trying to read more. Reading the Tiger's Curse series now, want to hit the Silmarillion afterwards. What are everyone else's goals?

Happy New Years!

Looks like its a new year and that means new resolutions.

As you can tell from my lack of recent updates and my sudden activity conveniently around new years; one of my resolutions might have been about posting on this blog.  And if you guessed that, you would be right.

A lot has happened these last few months and I know if I don't write this down now years later all the memories will blend together and I won't remember all of the details of what my first Thanksgiving, Christmas, wife's birthday and New Years as a married couple were like.

First off lets talk about Thanksgiving.  This was my first year that I got to spend Thanksgiving with my wife but not only did I get to spend it with my wife's family but also mine as well.  My parents went on their first real cruise (a boat ride around the Hudson doesn't count) and came back on Thanksgiving day.  This would not give them anywhere near enough time to prepare, so my in-laws graciously invited my parents and sister to have dinner at their house.  For the one holiday which is really about family gatherings I'm really glad that both Anna and I got to spend it with ours.

Next was Christmas which seemed to come and go really quickly.  One day we are getting ready for Christmas and then its here already.  I guess when you are a kid that month from Black Friday to Dec 25th is a lot longer.  This year we got to spend time with both our families again but instead we spent Christmas Eve with her family and Christmas Evening with mine.  Its a ton of fun when kids are around and we get to see what they get and watch them in their enthusiasm as they wake up at 5AM.  From my darling wife I got some clothes that are awesome(Game of Thrones Tshirts FTW) and Mists of Pandaren for the both of us(which we will need to play soon!)

The great thing about Christmas is right around the corner is Anna's Birthday!  For her 25th we decided to go all out and have a full weekend of birthday with the awesome bonus that this year she didn't have to work on her birthday.  We got to go ice skating, see Les Miserable, and play LOTRO with some friends.

Right after that corner is New Years!  This year, as a way of house warming, we decided to throw New Years Eve at our place.  The bummer was that Anna had to go to work the next day so we couldn't let loose completely but we had a lot of fun and got to spend the time with friends.  Got to have some great eats, drink a bit, play some zombie dice, Cards Against Humanity and Old School Smash Bros.  Late at night we got to play around with a Ouija board which honestly didn't do much for us.  I guess we aren't haunted enough.

At that leads us to the new year 2013.  This year I'm going to do my best to update this blog and keep myself more consistent.  I have so many goals and things I want to do that I am going to try to break things up by months.  I will be setting up some goals for the month of January and do my best to keep it.  I'll let you guys know how its coming.  If you don't here back from me in awhile you know how the keeping up the blog resolution went. ;P
