So, yesterday was David's first day back in the office. He took me out to eat lunch in Korea Town, where his office is, to a place called "Mr. Fish" located inside the "International Food Emporium". Technically it a sort of a Korean and Japanese style food court but I suppose throwing a Red Mango in there completes the "International" look.
The thing about Mr. Fish is they make GOOD restaurant quality sushi but at the fast food speed. No hard rice or dried up salmon. Their menu isn't extensive; but the rolls that they do have are specialty and filling so just ordering one is a hefty meal! David and I both got a Mr. Simple and Mr. Fish roll, respectively. After lunch it was a quick kiss and back to the office!

(A hot night roll from Mr. Fish)
You see, normally on Thursdays I head out to dance practice with my Sera Myu group, but since my cousin from Poland is in town, I headed towards uptown Manhattan to meet up with him and one of my sisters so we could visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
This gallery is simply my favorite one in the world. I could probably live in the Egyptian wing if I had the funds and ability to do so.I especially love this little guy. Out of all the falcon motifs, statues, necklaces etc. that I've seen in there this has to be the best one. It just has that perfect pupil to head ratio!! If the artist was still alive I'd certainly commission one from him. We spent about 5 hours at the place but time really flew by! Because the sheer volume and scope of all the art is truly amazing, we only got to hit a few exhibits including the Egyptian, Roman, Greek and American (we started wandering around the Asian but it was closing time.)
A bit of advice to anyone who wants to go here in the future; Never pay the full "suggested" admission price. They will stand behind their register's and tell you smugly "That'll be 75 dollars please!", do yourself a favor and take out a dollar. They'll let you in regardless.
Later we took the subway to meet up with David at Port Authority, where I actually ran into one of my Sera-Myu friends as she returned from practice. Talk about good timing!!
We wrapped the day up with a Chinese meal and some delicious desserts baked by David's mother. (seriously best chocolate chip cookies and Biscotti on the planet!!) I got a good 12 mile walk throughout the course of the day, enjoyed some great art and food with some awesome people; so far I can say married life is being good to me. <3
